Pioneer Memorial Hospital Announces Dornbusch as Employee of the Month for May.

VIBORG, SD: Danielle Dornbusch, has been named as the May Employee of the Month for Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services. Danielle has been employed with Pioneer Memorial since March 2017, and recently was promoted to the Long-Term Care Assistant Director of Nursing & Education Coordinator.  Prior to this, she worked as the Charge Nurse.  Danielle is instrumental in supporting the Director of Nursing, and as a Nurse Educator she provides education needed for employees to maintain certification, in addition to orientation and certification of new employees.

Danielle lives in Viborg, and is engaged and to be married in October to Tucker Sorensen from Irene.  She is originally from Howard, SD, daughter of Armand and Kristi Dornbusch.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from USD, and has been a Registered Nurse since 2015.  When she is not working, she loves spending time with her fiancé and her yellow lab puppy, Nelli.  She enjoys doing anything outdoors, from snowboarding to kayaking to taking rides in her fiance’s old vehicles.  She also spends a lot of time with family and friends.

Co-workers who nominated Danielle for Employee of the Month describe her being very friendly and good with Residents and staff.  She truly impacts the lives of our Residents and staff.  Her caring personality makes her an outstanding asset to Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services.

When asked what she thought of the award Danielle responded, “It gives me great honor to be the new Assistant Director of Nursing and Nurse Educator at Pioneer Memorial, and to be chosen as Employee of the Month.  I appreciate the warm welcome and support from all staff members.  I also look forward to the opportunity to help Pioneer Memorial be the best it can be.”  Congratulations Danielle Dornbusch on a well-deserved recognition.
