Exercise and Social Activity improve everyday function for Residents of Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services

Residents of Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services enjoy the wide variety of daily activities that are offered to them.  Having a full time activity staff allows the value of activities offered to residents to be resident centered which are very important to remain active and healthy.

Barb & Sonny Miller are residents of the Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home.  When asked what they enjoy about being residents, their response was “We enjoy our time here.  The staff is wonderful and they go above and beyond to make sure we feel comfortable.  The spoil us!  They like to keep us busy, providing a variety of social programs and activities to meet all of our interests and needs!”

There is an array of engaging activity programs held – everything from worship services, sing-a-longs and Bingo to special interest groups and other learning opportunities.  This past summer, residents got to also enjoy the outdoors by going on fishing trips, going on country drives, attending the Turner County Fair and touring the Tri Cross Dairy.  Jenn Eli, Activities Director, states “The Activities Department enjoys the challenges of finding meaningful activities that the Residents can participate in.  The smiles and laughter is what fuels our drive for better activities each month.”

Whatever stage of life you are in – Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services offers a broad range of lifestyle options with their skilled nursing facility, memory care community, assisted living apartments, and independent living apartments.  For more information on services offered, call (605) 326-5161, and ask for a tour.
