Jenn Eli, Centerville, has been named Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services Employee of the Month for January.
She joined the Pioneer Memorial staff last February. As an administrative assistant, her responsibilities include scheduling patients, pre-authorizing insurance for patients, reception duties, and customer service. She is in charge of multiple functions in the therapy/rehab department along with responsibilities for several other supervisors.
Those nominating her said, “Jenn does an excellent job in all aspects of her position. She is very creative and detail oriented. She does an excellent job preparing meeting minutes, computer training, spreadsheets, etc. Jenn is always friendly and has a smile on her face. She is an excellent ambassador for Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services.”
Others commented on her positive attitude and follow through. “Jenn is always upbeat, and is able to make our patients feel at ease when they arrive. She was very helpful last summer assisting the 50th Anniversary Committee with our storyboards.”
A native of Hurley, SD, Jenn enjoys scrapbooking, crafting and genealogy. She and her husband Brian, who is a self-employed carpenter, have three children, Taylor, 15, a sophomore at Centerville High School, Zackary, 11, 5th grader, and Jaeden, 7, a 1st grader.
On receiving the award, Jenn commented, “I enjoy working at Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services. Everyone is friendly and very dedicated to the patients they treat.”
