Pioneer Memorial

Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services February Employee of the Month is Sara Klawonn, Viborg.

Sara, an activity assistant, joined the staff in October of 2008.

In nominating Sara, her peers commented, “She is very friendly and conscientious and helps whenever needed.” Another added, “She is fun and energetic and truly has a heart for the residents. She has a very strong faith and it truly shows in the care and concern she provides the residents and in their response to her. She is very dependable and has been willing to work partial shifts, weekends and evenings.”

Sara gets her whole family involved in Pioneer Memorial activities. Together they do Bingo for the residents on Tuesday nights. Her children, Amanda, Moyra, and Dietrich have all helped with large facility events and outings, and they have also shared their talents in music and dancing through programs for the residents.

Upon receiving the honor, Sara stated, “I love my job. I have really enjoyed meeting so many great people at Pioneer memorial.”

Sara has an ED degree from Concordia University in Seward, NE. Her hobbies include goats, gardening and reading. She and husband, Kent, have four children, Brant, 20, Amanda 18, Moyra, 12 and Dietrich 7.
