Speech Therapy

 Speech therapy includes evaluation and treatment of various communication and/or swallowing disorders. Some causes of speech and language disorders are related to hearing loss, stroke, neuromuscular disorders, head injury, viral diseases, Parkinson's Disease, etc.

Speech-Language Therapy provides help for those:

  • Needing voice therapy
  • Having problems with swallowing
  • With memory problems
  • With cognitive problems (word finding, problem solving, etc)
  • With a speech disorder (apraxia or dysarthria)
  • With a language disorder
Our Speech Therapist, Candace Zweifel, CCC/SLP, is available for appointments as scheduled. Recently she became one of only a few speech-language pathologists in the state to earn certification in Vital Stimulation for Dysphagia or swallowing disorders. She also is a certified provider of Interactive Metronome therapy for disorders of cognitive, speech and language disorders or individuals with Autism, Parkinson’s, Stroke, and Brain Injury.
