Jenny Huisken, Administrative Assistant for Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services has been named as the July Employee of the Month.
Jenny started working with Pioneer Memorial in July 2020. In Jenny’s position at Pioneer Memorial, she is responsible for assisting the CEO and CFO with various projects as well as other department supervisors. She also assists with answering the main switchboard phone and direct calls. She is in charge of handling the Long-Term Care CNA’s work schedule, and verifying and approving their payroll. She also assists with new employee paperwork, and helps out to the best of her ability wherever she is needed.
Jenny has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.
Jenny is originally from Centerville and currently lives in Sioux Falls. Her family includes her husband Cody, and 5 year old daughter Elleanor, 2 year old son Everson, and 1 year old son Emmitt. In her spare time Jenny enjoys being creative and crafting, reading, playing board games, sitting by a campfire, and soaking up as much time as she can with her children and husband.
Those who nominated Jenny said that she is very knowledgeable in so many areas. She is a joy to work with and you can count on her to get things done. She is very professional and courteous, and always has a smile while going out of her way to help everyone. She is a true rock star and is very deserving of this award.
When asked what she thought of the award Jenny said, “Words cannot express how much it means to me that my colleagues have selected me to be the employee of the month. I am deeply flattered and very grateful. Thank you to all the staff for this honor!”
