Rita Westergaard has been named as the December Employee of the Month for Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services. Rita has been employed with Pioneer Memorial for the past 27 years as a CNA & Med Aide. She is responsible for making sure that residents get the best care possible, while making sure their spiritual and emotional needs are met.
Rita has a CNA Certification, and Medication Aid Certification. She lives in Viborg area. Her family includes her husband Gayle and daughters Kari & Amber, sons Joshua & Adam. They have 10 grandchildren. When she is not working, she enjoys cooking, baking, and spending with her grandchildren.
Co-workers who nominated Rita for Employee of the Month describe her as very tender hearted always having a friendly smile. She works well with co-workers and is extremely good with residents. She makes sure residents’ needs are met and ensures they get what they want and need.
When asked what she thought of the award Rita responded, “I feel blessed and honored that I was nominated and chosen to receive this award!” Rita is a big asset to Pioneer Memorial and we thank her for her dedication and loyalty.
