COVID-19 Updates

Masking Required

Patients, visitors and staff always need to wear a mask inside any of our facilities. As mask mandates end, Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services will continue to follow CDC guidance. The CDC says people in health care settings should still wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. We ask for your understanding and support of this important safety measure.

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services is following guidelines from state health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for COVID-19 vaccine distribution. Currently, everyone 5 years of age and older qualifies for the COVID-19 vaccine. Please call (605) 326-5201 to schedule your appointment. It is important to understand that even with receiving the vaccine we need to continue to use all the tools we have available.

  • Continue to wear a mask in public places

  • Practice social distancing

  • Maintain good hand hygiene

This is an ever-changing process and may vary by county. Please continue to watch for updated information.

Additional COVID-19 Vaccine Information from SD Dept. of Health:

The speed at which we move from one phase to the next depends on a number of factors, including how many vaccine doses are shipped to South Dakota each week. More information can be found on the DOH website SD Dept. of Health
