Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home & Assisted Living Indoor Visitation
Below are our guidelines we are following for indoor visitation during the COVID-19 pandemic:
Please call the activities department at 605-326-3014 to schedule an indoor visit, please leave a message and we will return your phone call. Spots are limited and are first come first serve.
Core Principles for Visitation:
- Screening
- Hand Hygiene
- Face Covering
- Social Distancing
- Frequent Cleaning and Disinfecting
Situation: Determining the ability for indoor resident visitation when and if there is new onset of COVID-19 cases in the facility is currently conducting outbreak testing AND/OR the COVID positivity rate for Turner County exceeds the threshold for indoor visitation.
Assessment: The following guidelines must be adhered to for resident visitation:
Recommendation:
We will utilize the Arboretum/Resident day room for resident visitation. Both rooms have two separate entrances, one public entrance from the Lobby, and another entrance from the nursing home for residents to enter and exit without having to enter a public space.
- Only two visitors may visit a resident at a time.
- No visitors may wait inside the facility for a visit.
- Appointments will be scheduled and staggered to allow for adequate time between visits and to allow for proper disinfection.
- All surfaces will be cleaned with appropriate sanitizing product at the beginning of each visitation day, after each visit, and at the end of each visitation day.
