Holly Jensen, Performance Improvement Coordinator at Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services, has been named as the September Employee of the Month. Holly started working with Pioneer Memorial July 2008.
In Holly’s role, she is responsible for monitoring, trending, reporting quality and risk management data, and development of annual quality assurance performance improvement plans across the organization. She also works with Tara Lee, CNP, in wound care; assisting Dr.Glatt on surgery days; teaching CPR; filling in at Hospital & Long-Term Care RN; and most recently filling in as the Interim Director of Nursing in Long-Term Care.
Holly holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND; Bachelor of Science Nursing from SDSU; Associate of Science in Nursing from USD. She also has Certifications in Basic Life Support Instructor, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Trauma Nursing Core Course. She is currently working on her Wound Care Certification from Emory University in Atlanta.
Holly’s family includes her husband, Gregg, and her daughter, Stella (10 years old), and son, James (6 years old). When she is not working she enjoys spending time at the lake with her family and friends in the summer, going on family snowmobile trips in the winter, golfing, and anything with the kids.
Those who nominated Holly for this award described her as being a very hard worker and someone that is passionate about her job at Pioneer Memorial. She always has a positive attitude and goes out of her way to help anyone. She did a terrific job as the Interim Director of Nursing in Long-Term Care; and always is caring towards others. Holly is a huge asset to our facility and deserves a huge THANK YOU for her teamwork and willingness to help!
