Sydney Novak, Social Services Coordinator, has been named as the February Employee of the Month for Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services. Sydney started working with Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services in June 2016 as a Maintenance Assistant, May 2018 as a CNA and took her current role in December 2021. She is responsible for Long Term Care scheduling, assist with Medicare assessments, assist in coordinating resident appointments, communicate with resident’s families and residents and assist with any needs that might arise.
Sydney graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelors of Business Administration with Health Services Administration emphasis and an undergraduate certificate in Healthcare Leadership.
Sydney lives in Lennox with her husband Levi and their two dogs.
Those who nominated Sydney for this award described her as being a team player. She is so deserving of employee of the month, she wears many hats throughout the facility and is always willing to help out where needed! The residents trust and have a great relationship with her. She does a fantastic job with all her duties!! She has demonstrated leadership and is excellent in all her roles. She is a great asset to Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services!
When Sydney isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, sports in the summertime and hanging out with her husband and 2 dogs.
When asked what she thought of the award Sydney stated, “This award means a lot to me because this job means a lot to me. The staff and especially the residents are like family to me and to be recognized as employee of the month means I really must be putting my all into caring for them like they my own family. All of the overtime and crazy days are well worth it! Thank you ALL!”
