The staff at Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services, along with local EMS, participated in a Disaster Drill last week. The focus of the drill was a mock fire that took place in the Nursing Home. Thank you to the Viborg-Hurley football team for being the mocked victims of the disaster. Also thank you to Brad Georgeson, Turner County Emergency Manager; and Presley Helm, Viborg Police; the Viborg Fire Department, Viborg Ambulance, Hurley Fire Department and Hurley Ambulance.
These disaster drills are held annually, with different disaster focuses per year. This drill ensures that all employees, along with local EMS, are prepared to handle these situations if they should arise.
