Employee Appreciation Award Recipients


Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services Present Several Awards During Employee Appreciation Luncheon.

VIBORG, SD: The 2018 Employee Appreciation Luncheon was held on Wednesday, May 16th 2018.   The following individuals were recognized with Employee Service Awards for their longevity within the organization. 

40 Years:         Deb Schaeffer, Nancy Severson

25 Years:         Anne Christiansen, Sharon Jacobsen, Nita Wirth

20 Years:         Grace Tidball, Kari Novak

15 Years:         Marilyn Hopson, Connie Kirschenman, Jamie Trautman

10 Years:         Brett Hartmann, Cindy Jochims, Katie Poppens, Donna Stephens

5 Years:           Andrea Flyger, Lindsey Hauger, Jessica Thiesen, Janelle Thom. 

During the Employee Appreciation Luncheon, the award for Employee of the Year and Employee Volunteer of the Year were given out.  The Employee of the Year is voted on by staff and is chosen from all Employee of the Month recipients from May 2017- April 2018.

The 2018 Employee of the Year award was presented to Stephani Reinhardt.  Stephani was voted for Employee of the Month for June 2017.  Those who nominated Stephani for Employee of the Month described her as someone who goes out of their way to bring the best possible care to those she gets to work with. Stephani has been with Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services since November 2016, and is the facility Health Coach.

Other employees who were nominated for this award this past year were: Maddie Manning, Katie Poppen, Michelle Paulson, Joan Clement, Kathy Berg, Clara Thompson, Mark Christensen, Kristeen Kingsbury, Teresa Peterson, Becky Holmes, and Kari Novak.

The 2018 Employee Volunteer of the Year award went to Jenn Eli.  Jenn began employment at Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services in 2009 as an Administrative Assistant.  She became the Director of Activities in 2015.  Jenn and her husband Brian, have four children – Taylor, Zac, Jayden, and Alisha.   

Jenn has volunteered for many events over the years including Oktoberfest, Holiday Supper, Resident / Family Picnics, Spring Fling, Extravaganzas, staff picnics, homecoming parades, Employee Christmas parties, Health Care week committee and other special events.  Jenn is always willing to help and is very creative.
