Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services is pleased to announce the hiring of Amanda Thoms, CNP. Amanda obtained her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, IA and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of South Dakota. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Amanda grew up in Wakonda, SD and currently lives in Yankton with her husband and daughter. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 10 years, a Hospital Registered Nurse for 3 years, and a Clinic Registered Nurse for 9 years. While not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, boating, watching her daughter play volleyball and wakeboarding. When discussing her new role in the Parker Medical Clinic, Amanda stated: “I am excited to be able to provide care to members of the Parker community. I look forward to getting to know the patients and their family members.”
