Lorna Whiting, Dietary Cook for Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services, has been named as the February Employee of the Month. Lorna started working with Pioneer Memorial March 2021.
In Lorna’s role, she is responsible for cooking meals for Long-Term Care residents, hospital patients, and staff.
Lorna lives in Viborg with her husband Richard. They have a daughter (Sally) who is married to Michael Ackerman; and a son (Cody) who is married to Carolyn Whiting. They have two grandchildren – Hudson & Oaklee.
In her spare time, Lorna enjoys spending time with her family, gardening flowers & canning. She also enjoys going for long drives to see different places.
Those who nominated Lorna said is always cheerful and is fun to have conversations with. She is willing to help anyone and everyone and does what she can to please others. She takes pride in her position at Pioneer Memorial and is a wonderful cook. She is truly concerned about residents and that everyone enjoys their meals.
When asked what she thought of the award Lorna stated: “I am honored with this recognition. This is a great place to work, everyone is so friendly and supports everyone. We work as a team, and I am very happy we moved to Viborg!”
