Shellie Sveeggen –Health Information, Records and Credentials, has been named as the November Employee of the Month. Shellie started working with Pioneer Memorial in 1995.
In Shellie’s role in Health Information, her primary responsibilities are medical coding, provider credentialing, release of information; as well as help out in other departments when needed. She loves visiting with the Nursing Home residents!
Shellie received her Medical Office Administration Associate Degree from Southeast Tech. She also received her CPC (Certified Professional Coder) with American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
Shellie lives in Beresford with her husband, Mike. They have 4 children: Tim, Hailey, Sarah, and Ryan. In Shellie’s spare time she enjoys camping, reading, hiking, going on mission trips with church youth groups, movie nights, raising backyard chickens (laying hens); and above all spending time with family and friends. She is also the Director of Beresford Faith in Action, where she assists families in crisis.
Those who nominated Shellie said she is very kind, friendly, and compassionate. She is fun to be around, great to work with, and is always willing to help out. She is a huge asset to the residents, and helps out with long-term care meal times.
When asked what she thought of the award Shellie stated: “I am blessed to work in an organization that I can do a variety of duties and work with great people.”
