Tracy Roth, Laboratory Director for Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services, has been named as the March Employee of the Month. Tracy started working with Pioneer Memorial June 2021.
Tracy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology (minor in Chemistry) and Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of South Dakota in 2003 and 2004. She received her ASCP certification in 2004.
In Tracy’s role, she is responsible for performing and monitoring quality control, implementing new instrumentation and correlation studies, performing and reporting of surveys to maintain CLIA certification, and performing patient testing for all areas of the laboratory.
Tracy lives in Viborg. Her family includes her husband, Jamie; and their two sons: Matthew who lives in Hurley, and Joshua who is a sophomore at Viborg-Hurley.
In her spare time, Tracy enjoys watching activities that her boys, nieces and nephews are involved in, spending time with family, spoiling their pets, cheering on the KC Chiefs, and playing piano.
Those who nominated Tracy said that she always friendly, caring and has a smile. She is hardworking and goes above and beyond. She is detail-oriented and has worked many extra hours as a Lab Tech, and she is an excellent supervisor.
When asked what she thought of the award Tracy stated: “I am truly honored and thankful to receive this award. Every day in the lab is different and I love the variety that each day brings. I enjoy coming to work every day and getting a chance to work with such great people on my team and in the organization.
