Viborg Medical Clinic has deficiency free survey from Dept. of Health

The South Dakota Department of Health recently cited no deficiencies to Pioneer Memorial Hospital and Health Services’ Viborg Medical Clinic. The deficiency-free rating is a result of the state of South Dakota’s precise, unannounced evaluation of our clinic’s compliance with standards for quality and safety as well as compliance with the regulations for Rural Health Clinics. In order to remain certified as a Rural Health Clinic, a clinic must demonstrate the highest quality standards set by the federal government. “Our continued deficiency free status means we follow all regulatory requirements and demonstrate to our community our team’s dedication to providing excellent patient care,” said Director of Clinic Operations Tonya Rudd. “I’m very proud of our employees and how they remain committed to our mission of health, healing, and community.”

The Viborg Medical Clinic is a certified Rural Health Clinic providing care to patients of all ages. The full time medical staff members include: Dr. Denise Hanisch, MD; Dr. Gabriel Johnson, DO; Ashley Johnson, PA; and Kayla Nielsen, CNP. Services include laboratory testing, specialty outreach services, and minor surgery to name a few.
